Social spending increased 5-fold in Kazakhstan over 10 years – the Secretary of State

It had been increased, despite of global crises, which happened twice over the last 10 years, Gulshara Abdykalikova said.

The five social initiatives of the President should be a driver of comprehend social modernization of our society, Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova said at the expanded session of the Council of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, BNews.kz correspondent reports.

“The main component of the social policy is the human capital. From the first days of independence, the creation of necessary conditions for the development of human capital has been a strategic task of the state. Over these years, much has been done, and targeted work is underway,” she said.

According to her, the country has passed two global crises, however the salary of workers of the budget sphere, pensions, scholarships, social benefits were not only paid on regular basis, but also increased on constant basis.

“Despite the negative affect of global crises, over 10 years, from 2007, social spending was increased by five times,” said Abdykalikova.

As the Secretary of State noted, the social justice is expressed by the provision of equal opportunities for the development and growth of well-being by the state for citizens.

“In this connection, the five social initiatives of the President should serve as drivers of the comprehensive social modernization of our society, they will facilitate strengthening of social unity and identity of the society. Their implementation will have a multiplier effect and positive influence on the optimization of external and internal migration processes, development of the personnel potential, efficiency of the process of territorial management and organization of the society’s lie, harmonization of the social structure of the society and ensuring of internal unity,” said Abdykalikova.
