Soyuz launch vehicle launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome

The launch was held in normal mode.

In Baikonur Cosmodrome, the launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1a with the Progress MS-09 transport cargo vehicle was launched, BNews.kz correspondent reports.

On July 10, 2018 at 03:51 ALMT, the launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1a with the Progress MS-09 transport cargo vehicle was successfully launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome.

The launch vehicle was started from a launch site of the Soyuz launch vehicle (site No.31) of Baikonur Cosmodrome and was held in normal mode.

The launch to the Progress MS-09 transport cargo vehicle was held following the programme of the International Space Station.

The purpose of the flight is to deliver fuel, products, water and other cargos necessary to exploit the station in manned mode to the board of the ISS.

The Progress MS-09 transport cargo vehicle was designed by the S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia and belongs to a series of transport unmanned cargo vehicles carried to orbit by a Soyuz launch vehicle to supply space stations.
