Slovakia officially confirmed its participation in EXPO 2017
The Slovak Republic officially confirmed participation in the International specialized EXPO 2017 exhibition, BNews.kz reported.
The corresponding official letter from the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Roberto Fitso was transferred to the Commissioner of the EXPO 2017 exhibition Rapil Zhoshybayev during the meeting with representatives of Embassy of Slovakia in Astana, the Press Service of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan reported.
In November, 2010 the government of the Republic of Slovakia took the National plan of action concerning the energy made from renewable sources (RES). The new plan assumes increase in use of RES up to 14% by 2020. This plan provides that in comparison with other types of renewable energy, preference shall be given to the energy received from biomass. According to an official position of the Government of Slovakia, biomass can become effective replacement of the energy received from fossil types of fuel and by that to make the significant contribution to decrease in amount of the natural gas consumed in case of production of heat.
Thus, Slovakia became the 104th country which confirmed the participation in an exhibition. Today participation in EXPO 2017 was confirmed by 17 international organizations, 99 commissioners, signed 82 contribution agreements.
