Kazakhstan citizen Robert Gaineyev won bronze in UCI Juniors Track World Championships
Robert Gaineyev from Kyzylorda became the bronze prize-winner of UCI Juniors Track World Championships. It is the first medal won by Kazakhstan track racers in Junior World Championships for the last 22 years, the press service of Cycling Federation of RK reports.
On August 23 Robert Gaineyev won bronze in group scratch race of 10 km. He was behind Columbian Jordan Parra Arias and Belarusian Anton Muzychkin.
UCI Juniors Track World Championships holds in one of the most southern cities of a planet –in Invercargill, New Zealand. More than 150 athletes from 24 countries take part in the championship.
Last time the Kazakhstan athletes won medals in Junior World Championships in a bicycle track in 1990 when Sergey Golovko took the first place in command race and Konstantin Gorbachev took the third place in individual race.
