Square of Suitcases and Square of Illusions to appear in Astana
Creative zones were opened on the crossing of Republic Avenue and Dukenuly Street, as well as in the area of No.5 home on Birzhan Sal Street.
Unique squares will appear in Astana. Their pecularities were told by Yerasyl Sembayev, a specialist in the Territorial Environment Protection and Environmental Management Department, Elorda Info reports.
Unique rest zones of Astana citizens were opened during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Astana on the crossing of Republic Avenue and Dukenuly Street and in the area of No.5 home on Birzhan Sal Street.
"The area around the squares are fully landscaped, lightning was provided, sports and children grounds were installed. Owing to the structure of architectural space, each square has its own unique style," said Yerasyl Sembayev.
The square on the crossing of Republic Avenue and Ykylas Dukenuly Street is called as Square of Illusions where a skatepark, hill-like slide, children's ground and Ames room, a distorted room in order to create an optical illusion, were placed.
The square in the area of No.5 home on Birzhan Sal Street is called as Park of Suitcases, because it is located near to the train station and small architectural shapes are made in the shape of suitcases. Here there will be children's railway, the rails of which are already laid.
Head of the Advanced Planning Office of the Conservation Project Department of the capital's Territorial Environment Protection and Environmental Management Department Azamat Zhanatayev outlined that there were poorly kept older one and two-storey homes on these territories.
"The projects are creative, each has its theme. The construction was started in May 2018. As an example, near the train station, the square has the form of a train station, small architectural forms are placed between the grounds: rails and suitcases. The squares are small, the Square of Illusions - 2765 square metres, and the Park of Suitcases - 2293 square metres. The cost of the two projects is about 130 million tenges," said Azamat Zhanatayev.
In September, on Saryarka Avenue near No.27 home the construction of the Square of Stones will be completed.
The square of the area is 2304 square metres. the estimated cost is 55 million tenges. The pedestrian zone will have benches, cans, and lightning at night. The transit zone is divided into three small grounds for rest.
The north side of the area has a ground with various sports devices. The ground in the middle has huge massive stones. The south side of the area has the ground with the possibility to install a small pavilion for a coffee shop and a fast-food point.
In the project, the surface of tracks is planned to be made from granite tiles of two colours. The trees will not be cut down.
