Temporary restrictions on air flights introduced at Astana Airport
Restrictions are concerned with the preparation and holding the Vth International Exhibition of Weapons Systems and Military Equipment KADEX-2018.
From May 18 to 26, Astana introduces temporary restrictions on airspace use, it was reported by a press service of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, BNews.kz reports.
Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced that in connection with the preparation and holding the Vth International Exhibition of Weapons Systems and Military Equipment KADEX-2018 from May 18-26, temporary restrictions on flights of aircrafts at the International Airport of Astana were introduced.
The capital’s Airport will be closed for entry and departure of aircrafts:
On May 18-19 from 11.00am to 01.00pm;
On May 21 from 10.00am to 01.00pm;
On May 22 from 9.00am to 01.00pm (Astana time).
Also, during the exhibition:
May 23 from 11.00am to 03.00pm;
May 24 from 11am to 01.00pm;
May 25 from 01.00pm to 03.00pm;
May 26 from 03.00pm to 05.00pm (Astana time).
“All air companies were informed in advance on short closure of airspace for adjusting flight schedules. Taking into account the experience of past years, during the days of the exhibition of KADEX-218, the measures to eliminate long delays of air flights well be taken,” they said in the Ministry.
We note that from May 23 to 26 the military sector of the International Airport of Astana will hold the Vth International Exhibition of Weapon Systems and Military Equipment KADEX-2018.
The exhibition will be taken part by domestic and foreign enterprises of defense and industrial complex and space industry, leading designing departments and scientific and research institutes in information security.
