In Kazakhstan, to date up to ten robotic dairy farms operate with minimal human participation, the press-service of the Ministry of Agricultura of Kazakhstan reported.

First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Arman Yevniyev today on the meeting of the government reported on the use of digital technologies in the agro-industrial complex (AIC) and presented the plant of the Kazakh Academy of Nutrition "Amiran" and LLP "Atameken Agro," the message of the ministry said sent in Tuesday.

It is noted that to date the Ministry of Agriculture has automated processes in the field of veterinary and phytosanitary security, grain receipts, a system for collection and management of loan applications, accounting of agricultural machinery, livestock accounting, including breeding, water and land management.

The introduction of digital technologies into the agro-industrial complex is planned within the framework of two main tasks - digitalization of the system of state regulation and technological re-equipment of the production sphere.

"Digitalization of state regulation of the agro-industrial complex will be implemented in the following key areas, such as: availability of financing for the subjects of the agro-industrial complex, which will be provided by automating the processes of obtaining credit and leasing, subsidizing, introducing agricultural receipts and online insurance, availability of markets and export development - the processes of issuing accompanying and permissive documents will be automatized, electronic grain receipts will be developed, and product traceability will be ensured "from the field to the table" and the conditions for the introduction of electronic commerce will be created," the information said.

For example, the period for issuing a veterinary certificate for export will be reduced from 14 days to 1 hour by automating processes in veterinary medicine and obtaining data from the traceability system. "As part of the effectiveness of state control and supervision, the system for registration of agricultural machinery, its pledge and traceability will be developed, many procedures will be simplified and the time for obtaining state services will be simplified, a geoportal will be created for effective water resources management and sustainable management of bioresources using space monitoring of forest and water resources, wildlife, hunting and fisheries," the press release said.

Thus, in the system of electronic grain receipts in 2017, purchase and sale transactions for 19 million tons of grain for the amount of about 627 billion tenges were registered. The system includes: online monitoring of the grain balance, statistics on grain prices, grain insurance, the rating of grain receiving points. All this made it possible to exclude the forgery of grain receipts and reduce farmers' costs per year by 700 million tenges.

In addition, in the current year, an online order of grain carriers, online trading will be introduced, which will allow the purchase of grain to foreign buyers, and in order to improve security, "blockchain" technology will be introduced, said in the Ministry.

At the same time, the system of traceability is planned to cover veterinary and phytosanitary laboratories, livestock markets, slaughter stations, processing enterprises, seed production, trade networks, logistics.

The introduction of e-commerce is planned in 2021 by wholesale distribution centers with warehouses, storages and slaughterhouses, processors and large producers.

Also, within the framework of the task of technological re-equipment, work will be carried out to introduce elements of precision farming, the creation of SMART farms, and work to involve businesses in the use of IT technologies.

The Ministry of Agriculture underlined that the introduction of elements of precision farming will enable to significantly increase the efficiency if production processes of farmers. Such elements include electronic maps of fields, accurate weather data, sensors and detectors, space monitoring and others.  

The introduction of SMART-farms will enable to conduct monitoring of heads of cattle and to control a herd of cattle, to provide autonomous management over green houses, to record and analyze costs online.
