Let the government critically examine the 11 SEZs, how has the country benefited from them. And until we figure out, there are no new SEZs to create. We need to improve those that we have," Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the expanded meeting of the Government.

"In the next few years, we planned to invest 188 billion tenge. What kind of efficiency will we get? That is the issue. Most of the SEZs have not become a point of growth for their regions, we need more active, different work on using SEZs to attract investments to the economy of the regions. oil and gas, we will develop this industry - it is necessary, and this industry will prevail for a long time," the head of state said.
