They use Kazakhstan as transit to the EU - the Ministry of Internal Affairs on illegal migration

Chairman of the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Kabdenov told about the purposes of illegal migrants’ entry to Kazakhstan on the sidelines of the Majilis, Bnews.kz reports.
"They live there badly, sometimes they try to use Kazakhstan as a transit country. Basically, they do not stay here, they use it as transit, they try to get to the EU countries from here," said Kabdenov.
He stressed that illegal immigrants are mainly representatives of the CIS countries.
"More than 5 million foreigners entered and left the country in 2017. 2,516 thousand were officially registered, 93% of them are citizens of the CIS countries and 7% are citizens of far abroad," said the head of the committee.
According to him, in 2017 more than 109 thousand foreigners were brought to administrative responsibility, about 14 thousand were expelled from the country and 1698 were brought to criminal liability.
Earlier, Vladimir Bozhko reported on 49 citizens of Afghanistan, who tried to get the status of Kazakhs-oralmans. Many of them are now on the wanted list.
