Trade turnover btw Kazakhstan and South Korea has reached a record US $2.5 billion
South Korean investors got familiarized with over 50 new projects in Kazakhstan.
This year the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Korea will reach a record number over the entire history of bilateral relations, Khabar 24 reports.
Seoul (Korea) held an investment seminar by Korea's National Investment Promotion Agency, and the KazakhInvest National Company, in which representatives of approximately 80 companies of Korea took part.
According to the KazakhInvest National Company, the mutual trade turnover has risen from US $500 million in 2016 to US $2.5 billion over 9 months of this year. A further rise is expected in 2019.
Over 50 new projects were presented to South Korean investors during the seminar, including clinics for US $35 million and a paint plant in the city of Shymkent.
"The project is infrastructural, and it is based on a public-private principle. The US $267 million projects to implement toll roads in Kazakhstan. Some projects in the agro-industrial complex should also be mentioned, particularly the construction of poultry farms in Kazakhstan, with the volume of investment of up US $ 42 million," said Zhandos Temirgali, Regional Support Director of the KazakhInvest National Company.
