Turkestan region starts construction of RES project
The project's capacity is 14 megawatt.
The construction of the Zadarya-1 solar power station has begun in the city of Arys, BNews.kz reports referring to Atameken Business.
The 7 billion tenges worth project will be realised at the expense of foreign investment, the project's capacity is 14 megawatt, TURKISTAN INVEST reports.
"A land plot of 30 hectares was allocated to construct the power station where KazGreenTekSolar project company has already conduct construction works since mid-October 2018.
France's Urbasolar SAS is the only founder of the company which is, in turn, a general constructor of construction works," the report reads.
They in the company said that the bringing the station into use and the beginning of electricity supply were planned for the 4th quarter of 2019.
"The project enables to produce clean energy that is a consumer product with high added value. Also, the share of renewable energy resources in the country's total generation will increase, which should reach 3% by 2020," the report reads.
50 new workplaces will be created.
