UNICEF launches a serious of social videos in Kazakhstan to protect children's rights
The event timed to the International Day of Children, that is celebrated on November 20.
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) with the Ombudsman for children of Kazakhstan, the Ombudsman for human rights of Kazakhstan, the Committee on Children's Rights Protection of the Ministry of Education and Science, cultural and public activists have gathered in the city of Almaty to discuss children's rights protection, BNews.kz reports referring to a press service of UNICEF.
The meeting taken as part of the communication campaign to prevent violation against children in Kazakhstan was attended by Ombudsman for children's rights Saule Aitpayeva, as well as many-time chess world champion, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Dinara Saduakasova and actor Sanzhar Madi.
This year the UNICEF representative office in Kazakhstan timed the launch of a series of social videos as part of the communication campaign to prevent violation against children in Kazakhstan to mark the International Day of Children.
A serious of social videos reveals the prevention of violent methods of child-rearing, about the necessity of positive parenthood and urges Kazakh citizens to pay attention to the negative outcome of violation.

The main characters of the social video are children. One of them is a 7-year-old girl experiencing psychological pressure from her parents, causing bad grades, chronic diseases, fears leading to many barriers and complexes. In the second video, parents of the main character relate to their son's bad behavior, and suggest him a right and alternative solution to this situation, taking into account his feelings and rights.
The International Day of Children is an annual event organized by children for children. A 15-year-old Polina joint the UNICEF global campaign as a host and moderator of the event.
The event was attended by famous Kazakh citizens, including many-time chess world champion, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Dinara Saduakasova, radio host Diana Snegina, actor Sanzhar Madi, singer Diana Sharapova, blogger Aziza Aibadullina, journalist Polina Shimanskaya, public figure Viktoriya Mominbayeva, musician Galymzhan Moldanazar, actress Anastasiya Tarasova.
