USA holds Kazakh Culture and Literature Forum

The event will present books by Kazakh authors, and a photo exhibition 'Culture and Art of Kazakhstan.' 

 

New York holds the international forum of Kazakh culture and literature 'Contemporary Kazakh Culture in the Global World' on the occasion of the 20th anniversary, a press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan informs

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan along with the National Academic Library of Kazakhstan and the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan. 

The forum aims at integrating Kazakh culture in the world cultural area, by enabling the world community to closer familiarize with Kazakh works, and domestic authors to integrate into the global writing. 

The event is attended by poet, chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Ulukbek Yesdaulet, poet, interpreter, Kazakh merited figure Shomishbay Sariyev, president of Kazakh uni newspaper Kasybek Isa, laureate, the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, journalist Marat Tokashbayev, writer, critic, laureate for the literature prize Alash Askar Altai, editor-in-chief of Aikyn daily Nurtore Zhusip, writer, journalist, editor-in-chief of Kazakh adebieti newspaper Dauren Kuat, poet, associate professor of Eurasian National University Onaigul Turzhan, well-known TV host Maiya Bekbayeva, literature critics, journalists, painters, as well as ethnic Kazakhs living abroad.   

A presentation of books by Kazakh authors, a photo exhibition called Culture and Art of Kazakhstan will take place within the forum. 

The forum of Kazakh culture and literature has already been taken place in Seoul, London and Berlin where multi-dimensional work to re-consider the latest trends in literature, cultural exchanges, and cooperation, bringing the efforts of professionals in culture and arts around the idea of the national identity of Kazakhstan was carried out. The events were at a high level, and arose a keen interest in foreign colleagues, thus creating favorable conditions for the creative and scientific intelligentsia within the bilateral cooperation.
