Volleyball team of Kazakhstan to make its debut at Women's Club World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship will take place in the Chinese city of Zhejiang.
The women's volleyball team from the Kazakh city of Ust-Kamenogorsk 'Altay' will take part in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship for the first time, Bnews.kz correspondent reports referring to a press service of the Kazakhstan National Olympic Games.
The volleyball team holds the final preparation gatherings in Almaty. The team trained by Yuri Panchenko will have their first match in the World Championship on December 4.
There has been an increase in the number of legionnaires of the team. However, a majority of the team is represented by Kazakh athletes. According to the team's captain Sana Anarkulova, it is a great achievement for the team to participate in this World Championship.
"Our team is to participate in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship for the first time, which will be a great experience for us, as well as one more benchmark in our sports career. Legionnaires from Serbia, Azerbaijan have joined the team, as well as volleyballers who played in serious leagues. Our team's players have had a good season in this year. And I believe we will demonstrate a good match. Nevertheless, the participation in the World Championship in a great achievement," said Anarkulova.
