We will be better prepared for the next match – trainer of FC Astana
Roman Grigorchuk notes that his team go forth with their heads held high for tomorrow.
Head trainer of FC Astana Roman Grigorchuk after the victory in the first match of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League against Montenegro’s Sutjeska shared his content with the match, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
“I agree that we need to improve the completion of attacks. We did not use our potential in this part. In addition, the opponent has successfully stopped several our attempts to score a goal. However, we do not need to use ‘if’. If we were quite accurate, we would win with a bigger score. We use ‘If’, however there is no sense to talk about it. We have won, and it is most important,” said the Ukrainian footballer at the after-match press conference.
Journalists expressed interest whether the attitude of our team would be influenced by the fact that FC Astana in the last match had all chances to win with a bigger score.
“We do not have any reason to get sad. We should thank God for what we have. We have won. Such games can end up in various scenarios. It can be that the opponent scores a goal that is worse. As for us, we have scored a goal, won, as well as we appreciated the opponent. We will be better prepared for the next match. Therefore, we go forth with our heads held high for tomorrow,” said Roman Grigorchuk.
We note that FC Astana have had a victory over Sutjeska from Montenegro in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League with the score of 1:0. The victorious goal was scored by Roman Murtazayev from a penalty shot at the 29th minute. A return match between the two teams is held on July 18 in Montenegro.
