Presidents of Kazakhstan and Finland visited EXPO 2017

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö have visited the national pavilion of Finland in Astana EXPO 2017 exhibition complex, Akorda's press service reports.

During visit presidents of two countries have got acquainted with expositions of the national pavilion of Finland and have examined the exhibition hall of Kazakhstan located in the Nur Alem complex.

Heads of states have also held bilateral negotiations on the platform of the Congress center of exhibition complex.

The president of Kazakhstan has thanked S. Niinistö for a personal visit and participation in the opening of the Pavilion of Finland, having noted the high level of the developed relations between two countries.

"It is possible to call our relations exemplary. We repeatedly meet on various world platforms. Finland has supported us in the choice of the venue EXPO 2017, and also when obtaining the status of the non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. Kazakhstan also always renders support to Finland on the international scene," Nursultan Nazarbayev told.

The head of state has emphasized the importance of the development of bilateral ties, he has expressed interest in the strengthening of the relations in such spheres as the industry, pharmaceutics, information technologies, education, and medicine.

In turn, the President of Finland has thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for a meeting and has noted a role of Kazakhstan in the solution of topical global and regional issues.

"Your opinion concerning not only the bilateral relations, but also concerning global questions is always interesting to me. Now almost whole world monitors process of the negotiations held in Kazakhstan. In particular, it is the Syrian negotiations on the Astana platform," S. Niinistö told.

The president of Finland has thanked the Head of state for personal visit of the national pavilion and has invited him to visit Finland.
